I think just the opposite. Bloggers are an escape, allowing people to be (or see) someone else, and their points of view. It's a chance to feel someone else's thoughts and bitch over their problems. We don't suck them in, we open the door and allow them in. QUIT KNOCKING! I'm coming.
Through StatCounter.com. It tells me where traffic to my site comes from. Your site was listed. I always like to check out blogs in this way.
STATCOUNTER...OK....once you log into StatCounter, it should take you to a page with all you projects (blogs) listed. After the name, there is a symbol that's 3 verticle lines (blue, orange and red). Click that for the stats on your blog. It takes you to a new page. On that new page there is a STATISTICS sidebar on the left. On of the catagories is: "CAME FROM". That list the web pages that sent people to your blog (and how many). It can be searches, other blogs, anything. But you get a feel for where your traffic is coming from. If I see that people are consistantly coming from another blog, it usually means they have put a link to my blog on their page. I like to know because I like to return the favor. It also tells you if another blogger is reading your blog.
